AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNOLOGY 1260
Upon completion of this program, students will be able to obtain entry-level employment as automotive technicians at automotive dealerships, repair shops, service stations, etc.
This program prepares students for entry-level positions as automotive technicians at automotive dealerships, repair shops, service stations, etc. Courses will consist of lessons in class followed by practice in the shop. Concentration will be placed on hand and power tools, fundamentals of automotive technology (including HVAC, welding, restraint systems and NYS inspection), electrical and electronic systems, engine performance, brakes and suspension and steering.
You will also learn how to diagnose service and repair both domestic and foreign automobiles including diesel and truck engines.
